About

Jung Pil Suh is responsible for breeding temperate japonica rice adaptable to tropical regions.

Prior to joining IRRI, Jung Pil Suh was a Senior Scientist at the National Institute of Crop Science of the Rural Development Administration, Korea. He served as the team leader for the diffusion of research and development achievements on crop research.

He obtained his PhD and master’s degrees in Crop Breeding from Yeungnam University, South Korea.
